One Month Ago...

My Dearest Rebekah,

Today you are one month old.  One month since we first met. Since our family added one more member. You are growing more and more each day. More beautiful. More adjusted to the world. You aren't the only one growing though. I have learned more about patience and prayer in the past month then I ever have before. Learned to love in ways that God has designed just for a father. And the amazing thing is that we will continue to teach each other about things like patience, love, life, service, and prayer. 

I know that in the blink of an eye you will be walking and talking, celebrating sweet sixteen, and wearing white while walking with me down an aisle. Twenty years from now I will be wondering were the time went. At least that is what everyone who has been there tells me. And I know that you will grow up to be an amazing child of God. But for now, you are one month old. I will rock you to sleep. Change your diapers. Hold you when you're fussy. For now, you are my one-month-old.

One month ago you changed my life forever. Nothing would ever be the same after that June afternoon. And I would not have it any other way. My life has a new blessing in it, and she is one month old. Continue to grow strong and beautiful, both inside and out my precious daughter. Always know that your daddy on earth and your Father in heaven love you so very much.
